Ecommerce Mobile App Development — iOS and Android

An app earns its keep through repeat purchase and push notifications, not acquisition. We build on your existing Shopify catalogue so there is one source of truth.

Why Shopindev?

Why Shopindev?

One catalogue, no second system

The app reads your Shopify products, inventory, prices and orders through the Storefront API. Nothing is duplicated and nothing drifts.

Push notifications

The reason most stores build an app: a channel you own, with no cost per message. Back-in-stock, price drop, order status and campaign sends.

Native checkout

Checkout runs through Shopify so payments, taxes, discounts and fraud checks stay exactly as they are on the web store.

Store credentials shared

Customers sign in with the same account. Order history, addresses and saved payment methods carry over.

Store listing and submission

App Store and Play Store setup, review submission, screenshots and store copy. Rejections are handled by us, not handed back to you.

Release pipeline

Versioning, staged rollout and crash reporting configured from the start, so the second release is not harder than the first.

Store review and launch

undefined

Monitoring and iteration

undefined

Crash reporting, version updates and notification performance reviewed after launch.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Will an app increase our sales?

Not by itself. Apps do not bring new customers — nobody installs an app for a brand they have not bought from. Where an app pays off is repeat purchase and push notifications to an existing base. If your repeat rate is low, fixing that comes first.

Do we need an app or is mobile web enough?

For most stores mobile web is enough, and we will tell you when it is. The honest threshold is a customer base large enough and loyal enough that a free notification channel is worth the build and the ongoing store maintenance.

Is this a wrapper around our website?

No. A web view in an app shell gets rejected by app stores and performs badly. The app is built natively against the Shopify Storefront API, with checkout handed to Shopify.

What about the ongoing cost?

Apps are not a one-off. iOS and Android release updates that require rebuilds, and store policies change. Budget for maintenance from the start — we set that out in the proposal rather than after launch.

Can we use an app builder instead?

Sometimes yes, and that is a legitimate answer. Subscription app builders are faster and cheaper for a standard catalogue. Custom development makes sense when you need something they cannot do — unusual product configuration, a loyalty mechanic, or a B2B ordering flow.
